The International Tax Week 2025 will be hosted at the Vayamundo Hotel in Ostend, Belgium, a central and convenient location for all sessions and activities. The hotel is easily reachable by train, bus, or car, making it simple for you to arrive from different parts of Europe. What to do in Ostend?

Tour the Mercator ship:
Take the chance to visit the museum of the Mercator ship. This ship was built in 1932 and sailed in the harbour of Antwerp in 1961. Since 1964 it founds it final place at the harbour of Ostend as a museum. The boat did a total of 41 voyages under only two commanders, with its most well-known story of repatriating the remains of Father Damien in 1956. The museum is open from 10:00-17:00.
The Beach Promenade
Relax with a walk and view of the sea on Ostends beach promenades. Visit one of the nice cafés or restaurants, eat some seafood and enjoy the sunset near the sea. And remember to dress well, November can be cold!
James Ensor House
For the art lovers amongst you the name ‘James Ensor’ might ring a bell. James Ensor was a surrealism painter that spent most of his live in Ostend. You can visit the Ensor House, the place he lived in from 1917 until his death, in the Vlaanderenstraat 29. The house has been preserved in its original state.
The House is open from 10:00-18:00. Visit takes 1-1h30 min. and the price for a ticket is 9 euro for students between the age of 15-25 years. For holders of an international teacher’s card, the price is 11 euro
The Langestraat
This street is the place to be when you want to party. Known for its vibrant and lively atmosphere, the Langestraat is a street located in the centre of the city, filled to the brim with fun cafés, restaurants and music of different genres.
